This library if for encryption by AES algorithm.
The MarshallSoft Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) Library is a component library of functions. This lets you incorporate encryption and decryption using the "Advanced Encryption Standard" (AES) as specified by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The AES method is considered very strong and replaces earlier standards. Many financial entities such as banks use this algorithm to protect their customer`s sensitive information. The library contains code verified through the "Advanced Encryption Standard Algorithm Validation Suite" (AESAVS), and is available in Advanced Encryption Standard Algorithm Validation Suite. This works with all versions of Windows (95/ME/2000/2003/XP/Vista/NT/Windows7/Windows 8). Both Win32 and Win64 DLL`s are included. This tool implements the 256 bit algorithm. This tool is not available to countries on the US export control list. This library supports the ECB (Electronic Cookbook) mode as well as CBC (Cipher Block Chaining) mode. Free technical support and updates for one year.
When you incorporate such components and libraries, paying royalties for the library distributed with the product is a concern. You do not need to worry about it in this case as the developers do not charge any royalties for the distributed products. This tool could be used in GUI mode or console mode programs. All versions of visual dBase is supported. To implement the encryption/decryption, there is no need for calls to any other software, except the OS of course. As long as the development language has the capability to call the Windows API, you could do your development in that language based on your convenience. This is a very good tool.
